Research Interests & Areas

My master's research is a comparative analysis of the basicranial morphology of old world primates. Specifically, I examine skeletal elements of the petrous portion of the temporal bone that possibly correlate to the exhibition of locomotive and postural behaviors of certain old world monkeys and apes. Such elements, if present with soft tissue correlates, could then be examined as precursory speech elements.
