Most of my research is theoretically driven, historically oriented, and attentive to social power structures and processes. I have published extensively about educational credentialing and labor markets and have broader interests in the machinations of cultural status systems. I am told that this work looks more like what Weber would do than Marx, and that rather pleases me.
