The Sociology Graduate Program encourages talented applicants from a wide variety of fields of study, including sociology and related disciplines. Typical cohorts have a stimulating mix of majors and minors, all with strong interests in sociological research. Successful performance in prior coursework in the social sciences is common among these students. Undergraduate sociology courses or their equivalents in research methods, statistics, and/or social theory are particularly recommended, and may be required, depending on applicants’ overall qualifications. Please contact the Graduate Program Director for further information.
